What prompted you to ask this question? Was this a patient of yours? Or are you a student?

Sometimes making small notes about each condition from a pathophysiology text will help. Think of Crohns disease, and what that means, think of bloody stools and weight loss (that connection is kinda easy) and now try to associate the pyrexia. Remember not all patients fit neatly into the textbook discussion. Once you make this association on your own, a lightbulb will go off and you'll never forget it.

Hi hoppy4. I agree with the previous posters. I've run across a few patients with this disease. I don't understand it well either, but I've learned that Crohn's is also known as regional enteritis which means it's an inflammatory disease. Therefore, the characteristics you wrote are frequently found in inflammatory conditions and diseases in general. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
