Help!!

Hi there.. I am quite confused about NCLEX. Please help me!
What are the common concept being asked during the exam?
What are the keys to pass the exam?
What country is good to apply with?
Can I get a job prior of taking the NCLEX exam?
Can I get a job without any experience?
Hope to revieve replies.

Start with you are applying for Licensure to be a RN in the US and not NCLEX that is just part of the process. Title of thread altered

Not sure what you are after as the exam covers a lot of aspects. Keys to passing exam is practice as many questions as you can and understand the rationale to the ones you get wrong. You can get a job before passing the exam but the employer will want to see a pass and with retrogression many will want to see a pass in the exam first. Again with retrogression and looking at several years for the US much better to gain experience either in the Philippines or another country.

Not sure why you are asking what country is good to apply with as it is only accepted by the US but if you mean state then you need to do your research and decide on state to live as each have their own requirement of foreign trained. Saying that Ca is not recommended as initial licensure and much has already been written on this subject. I strongly suggest a good read in this forum

NCLEX is the licensing exam for the US and this country only.

An employer cannot legally offer you a job without having passed either the NCLEX-RN exam or the CGFNS exam.

Please be aware that there is about a five year wait for a chance at a green card, so you should be planning on getting experience someplace first. And there is no guarantee that you will be able to get a green card after passing this exam and even finding an employer. There are many more applicants from your country than there are visas available.

And as mentioned above, please take the time to do some reading here, there is much that you need to be aware of.

California do their own assessment but if you are then wanting to work in another state then you need to meet that BON's requirements for foreign trained nurse which may mean CES. CVS is only applicable to New York.

You do not need to do a prep course for the exam, suggest you check out the NCLEX forum which can be found under the student tab

CA does their own assessment, they do not use the CES. You will need to submit your application to them and they make decisions on an individual basis.

CES is a credentials eval that is done by CGFNS. Many states require it for initial licensure and for endorsement. CA does their own assessment so it is not needed for them, but if you chose to go to another state later on, you will need to have it done in most cases. Each state makes their own decisions and they have separate rules in place. What is accepted in one state does not guarantee that it is accepted in the others.

Just go to the website for the CA BRN, or the CA Board of Registered Nursing. At the top of this bulletin board you will find a list of all of the contact numbers for all of the BONs. CA does not have a BON, but only the BRN and you will find it there.

We do not recommend CA for initiuall licensure if you do not have a SSN# already, they will not issue a license to you and you will be waiting about a month to get your results.

There is already much written on this topic about licensure in Ca, as well as their contact numbers.
