Help!!!

I have a question. I dont know if I should ask this for the safety of myself crying and whatever...but...I took my NCLEX-PN today and my test shut off after the 85th question and by the way I had 5 select all that apply. Now, everyone in my class that had 85 questions passed...do any of you know anyone that failed with 85 questions?

My theory is this. If I wasnt doing to hot at 85, would they keep on going until I got to 205 and if I was still failing at 205 then have a fail?

I am just wondering what is the probability of my failing at 85 questions...HELP!:monkeydance:

Just scroll down and read NCLEX posts in the last few months regarding this question.... Someone asks the same thing about every week :trout:

My test shut off at 85 and I passed. Unless you totally bombed it, you passed at 85.

Hello there! This is a great one for me to answer. I took my last test and did not pass at 85. I took it again and ended may I say again at 85 and this time Passssed. So I am proof it can go both ways. The last time I did not get select all that apply. This time around I got 5-6 that apply. If the computer was not sure by the time you got to 85 you would have gotten more until it is 95% sure of the results you did. Whether it is pass of not. Ive known people to pass at even 150 too. That's not really a popular number. But it is possible to go to 205. You can pass at 205 too. Good luck and keep us posted.

Hi! I agree with KAT. I just took my boards in July and it shut off at 85. I felt horrible! But I passed! I think you did fine! I have been told many times that 85 is a good thing!!!!! Good Luck:lol2::balloons:

Congratulations. I was reading your post and was saying to myself "I bet if I scroll down there's going to be a post saying this poster passed." Happily I was right! Congratulations.

99.9999% of the NCLEX takers leaving feeling like a failure but most of us pass. Good luck in your career.

Way to go!!! Congratulations Nurse!!!!:balloons:
