Help!!!

Hi there,i'm currently waiting for my agency's heads for NCLEX.Has anybody been under ATWORK MANPOWER or ALPHA INTERNATIONAL?WHat have been the results? How long before you were deployed? Is it still better to go for direct hire?

Secondly I am thinking of working in Saudi or NZ while waiting for that.Any information would be really helpful!I am up for an interview at the SRO-I am wondering what is tackled or covered?

Thanks again for taking time!

Try direct hire, email your resume to some us hospitals. You'll get paid more and might even get a relocation bonus. I'm researching nga and in Alaska, they are giving $10 to $30k relocation bonus ;) ... the only good thing about being a nurse in the Middle East from what my cousin tells me who has worked there is that, your board and lodging and plane tickets are free... it is a big help but I think you'll enjoy being a nurse in the US more.

Rule One: Any time there is a lrge relocation bonus attached to a contract, you really want to do some investigation on this one.

The bonus is not paid up front in the beginning, but spread over time and is taxed.............

If the facility has to pay that type of bonus to attract someone, there are usually issues with it.

There is a facility in Texas that pays a $50,000 bonus to sign on, but rarely does anyone get the bonus as they do not last more than a few months or so. The place is in a terrible location and is very understaffed. So do not get caught up on the dollar signs. It may turn around and bite you.

Yes, I’ve seen hospitals that offer big bonuses for signing up with them--like $10K but it is in a terrible area---and it will not be given instantly, but rather a nurse has to work in the hospital for ten years and a thousand dollars will be awarded for each year of stay---and if you leave before the tenth year, you return all the money that they have given you. :uhoh3: So it's very important too to know the rules that they apply for handing out big bucks.
