There's a lot of discussion on steth/cuff in the equipment section...

What kind of equipment you should invest in depends on your budget, what you plan to do with the equipment, what your nursing status is, where you plan to work....

Because of budget constraints, I started with an inexpensive kit from allheart.com (about $15.00 plus shipping) and am very happy with the cuff and the steth works great for my application. Most people in my class spent between $50 and $100 and frankly nobody can tell the difference between my equipment and theirs...

And in less than 20 days of school one student had already misplaced her steth... Boom... $30 down the drain......

I was worried that I'd get a piece of crap for my $15.00, but it is/was good value. Allheart has a great refund policy if you don't like what you get from them too! BTW, the school/bookstore/facility usually has about 100% mark-up on everything they sell. Allheart works on a much smaller margin....

Skip over to the gear section and you'll find more info...

Good luck! :jester:
