Joan,

What are your interests in nursing?

What made you decide to become a nurse?

What do you like in nursing?

What do you dislike?

Specializes in PeriOp, ICU, PICU, NICU.

welcome to the site. enjoy your stay and best wishes to you. :balloons:

I think we need several nurses in schools working on this thesis: How to deal with nursing assistant insubordination, the nursing assistant work culture vs. the R.N., L.P.N. work culture, and how to set up ways that valid nursing assistant observations are part of the process of creating, and reevaluating patient service plans.

From a nursing assistant trying to follow the policy directives of the facility she works in, but being asked to compromise those standards by other nursing assistants. Who refuse to use the establish ways of making their assessments Known.

Hey Xenspirit,

I hope you are still following this thread. I think your suggestion is very interesting as I believe nursing assistants are a vital part of the "nursing team."

I myself am very interested in intraprofessional (how we relate to/care for/and work with one another) issues in nursing. I think all the varying divisions in nursing make our teamwork very difficult to maintain, you know? Because we have so many varying levels of education/skill in our field it's almost like a set-up for failure due to inequality and lack of respect/coordination/communication (SOMETHING !!!) for one another.

What do you think?

Hi there, if you are still looking for ideas, one hot topic at my school is teaching BSN students critical thinking or the process of crticial thinking and how those skills are developed. I am in my last year of getting my BSN and I know this is a big area. Good Luck, Molly
