Hie everyone could you please help me with the following questions.
1. Why preganant teenagers are particulalry at nutritional risk and how this risk can be reduced.
2. What are the effects of the following teratogens on the embryo/fetus:
Rubella
Alcohol
3. What advise would you give a woman who presented with oedema of the face,shortness of breath,oedema of feet,ankles and lower legs, varicose veins in her third trimester
What is colostrum and why is it important for the newborn baby..

Please consult your maternity nursing text book. These are all very basic questions that will be answered by reading the appropriate material.

Are you a nursing student? You should be able to find those answers in your maternal/newborn textbook. I don't want to just tell you the answer because you need to figure out how to find information on your own. If you aren't a nursing student I might be able to answer those questions.

I don't think Getoff is a nursing student.If she is maybe she is not understanding the books so if you could be kind enough to explain it in simple terms lets not forget that not everyone who comes on this board is a OB nurse. Unformtunately am not in OB nursing myself would have assisted. Good luck Getoff you will get an answer from someone nice on this site. But do also ref to your books.

We can not do your homework for you if that is what you are looking for. You could put your theories to what you think are the reasons and we can add to it. As mentioned these can be found in books or on the web.
