Help Please! Staff RN or Sub?

Help please! I'm currently a new Staff Nurse at a HS (I'm better with elementary kids). It's not a top school if you know what I mean, and my fellow nurses aren't helpful or nice for someone just starting out. 3 weeks into the school year I get a call from an AMAZING school district. My dream district!! Problem is it's not for staff nurse - It is for LifeSkills 3 days/week and substitute nurse. Over 20 schools in the district. I feel like this at least gets my foot in the door. Is it stupid to leave a permanent staff nurse position that I just don't like, for a job without guarantee? Help me please! Thank you!

I think a lot of it depends on what you can afford. What will the income difference be? Also, spending all day with life skills would be challenging for me. Is this something you would like? Another thing I would consider is do you think there will be full time positions opening? I know I'm giving you more questions than asswers but only you can decide these things. Good luck!

You know the answer to your question. If you can pay the bills, make the move.

Quality of life (happiness and mental sanity) are most important. If it is your dream district and you can afford to make the move- do it! Life is too short to not like your job!
