UPDATE: After losing my home to a flash flood in IA, I had decided to try in NC again but in person, even though I had been denied many a times before because they "don't have any openings for New Grads right now."
After a lot of hard work (networking and using connections) I'm ecstatic to inform you that I have gotten offered a full-time PCU position in a hospital in NC!!!:anpom::anpom:
Thank you all for your prayers! :bowingpur God is GRAND!
Living in the middle of the Triad area and got offered a job in Asheboro. I am very happy to be here and look forward to a new beginning with my family. It's just sad and at the same time inspiring that it took a flood to get me an open door for a job interview. I do appreciate the chance though, the people here have been so wonderful, loving, and very understanding to my situation.

Dear fellow nurses,
I live in Iowa and recently lost my home to isolated flooding. Since I've lost mostly everything I have decided to try to find work in the Triad area in North Carolina (which is something I was going to wait and do next year if the economy got better).
Even though I am a bilingual New Grad RN, I do have 2+ years experience in long-term care as an LPN. Therefore, if you know of any Nursing Homes who are hiring full-time in any of the Triad area cities PLEASE post it on this thread. Of course, I would love to work in a hospital but I know that New Grads are not getting hired at this time in that setting.
Any information is much appreciated.
Sincerely,
Bessie Amaya (a.k.a. EmilyLucille523)
