Help!! NP program interview at Duke

Hello everyone,

I've been invited to interview for an NP (MSN) program at Duke and was elated until I saw that the interview is 45 minutes long!! I'm a little bit nervous about such a lengthy interview and whether or not I'll be adequately prepared. I tend to do well in job interviews, but I don't know how to prepare for a grad school interview vs a job interview, if there even is much of a difference.

Of course I've done my research on Duke, my program of interest, and their faculty but any other tips or pointers out there? Anything is appreciated! Thanks in advance!

    Congrats on the interview! Though I can't help with tips, I'm also curious what program did you apply to?? I applied to Duke's FNP program but didn't send in my application till Nov. 27. Hope your interview goes well!

    WHNP. I was applying to the program for next fall when they informed me that they were still accepting applications for spring when I submitted my application. I interviewed within a few days and was just accepted yesterday to start in January. Talk about a whirlwind!

    Hope things go well for you as well! From what I understand fall applicants won't find out about interviews until the end of January. Best of luck! :)

    @Future thank you! I think I would go crazy if I had to wait until spring to find out about acceptance! Haha. The interview was not what I expected at all. I've heard that they are similar to job interviews but mine didn't seem that way. In fact, I thought I did pretty poorly but I guess they liked it! Are you applying to Duke as well?
