I took the teas at Keiser and passed everything the first time around except for the math. I took the math version 4 twice and then the version 5 and failed it for the third time. I've never been good at math but I really studied my butt off. I don't know what to do anymore. So frustrated! I feel that the ATI book alone is not enough. Every time I've taken the teas exam at Kieser, questions that came up were nothing like what I had been studying in that darn ATI book. I'm not allowed to re-take the math portion at Keiser so I'm going to try my luck at Concorde. Any pointers on passing the math teas test would be greatly appreciated. Also, if anyone has gone to Concorde and taken the teas. What was your experience with the math portion?

Sorry to hear that...But, that's weird because the mast section should be really similar to the TEAS V book. Where do you live? And No, sorry didn't take mine at concord or kieser.

I don't know exactly about the teas test, my school didn't require it. I can tell you though that math is best learned as a comprehensive subject. what I mean is that you need to be sure you spend plenty of time understanding WHY A and B = C, not just repetitively solving problems. Though repetition is good, you have to know exactly WHY you are getting what you are getting, and how to check your answers with different methods. Best of luck!

If you're not understanding the material, why don't you consider hiring a tutor. It may be your only lifeline. "Hey, it's worth the try."
Hi. Your right. There are different variations of the same type of math problem and that's what confuses me. I've been studying the same math problems over and over and that didn't help at all.
I'm in the process of getting a math tutor. Your right! I've come so far and I'm not about to let a math test ruin everything. Thank you all for your suggestions.
I guess I need a comprehensive understanding like bigbluemadness said. I was focusing all of my attention on those few questions in the ATI book but I wasn't studying math as a whole. I live in Miami. I'm in the process of applying at Concorde. I'm giving myself about 1 1/2 months to prepare for the teas all over again. I should be ready for that math test by then.
