Help! NCLEX question!

I live and went to school in California. I applied to the California BRN to take my NCLEX and registered with Pearson Vue. Well, I was offered a job in TN and would like to take my NCLEX out there instead. My question is: Can I have two open applications to two BRNs along with Pearson to take the NCLEX in TN, and will an official change of address to TN mess with either of them? California takes forever to do anything and since its not a compact state, I want to make sure I have my license in time to start my job. I know it would cost extra money to do the process all over again and while that sucks, I'm willing to in order to have my license verified faster through nursys. I don't want it to look like there are duplicates of things and have everything get held up somewhere (I'm thinking this will be more on California's end).

You should be able to call pearson vue and request to change which state board of nursing to have your results sent to. You can take the NCLEX in any state and have the results forwarded to any state. That can save you some money because I want to say it cost like $50 or something like that to have Pearson Vue, reassign you BON.

I agree with the above. Just call Pearson Vue, submit your application to TN for licensure by exam, withdraw your application from CA. You can physically take NCLEX in California for licensure in Tennessee.
