Nothing like a little pressure to spice up the summer! I'd be so grateful for any help anyone can give me. I'm moving to NC from NJ to start the ABSN program at Duke :) We'll be moving to Chapel Hill as we have 2 teenage daughters (going into 9th & 11th grades) - my baby is going off to college @ USC. One is a volleyball player, the other lacrosse/field hockey. We just got an offer on our house so I've rearranged the schedules and we'll be driving down to NC on Thursday. My husband has given me a mission (but no choice whether or not to accept it!) to find a house in the week that we'll be down there. We'll need to rent at this point as time ran out for buying. My girls have been poring over the school websites and are currently voting for Chapel Hill HS, but we don't have a clue about what they're like, neighborhoods, etc. ANY help you can give me will be most appreciated. Thank you!

I am sorry I can't help you. I am moving shortly to Raleigh and I thought I had a deadline. Good luck in your search

We are also being transferred to NC, Research Triangle Park, and I found this website http://www.moving.com/, go to city profiles and you can find a lot of info. We will be heading in that area soon. Also on craigslist there are lots of rentals listed for short term. Good luck! Susan

Congrats to you from one Jersey transplant to another! Chapel Hill is beautiful, and there are loads of places to rent--I just wish I knew someone who could help you locate a place! Perhaps an apartment complex with a short-term lease (3-6 mos) would be your best bet 'till you get the lay of the land. Good luck!
