Help - Lapsed License

Hi,

I Moved to NC and applied for my nursing license here. Received it Sept 2011, The lady from the NC board said it was good for 2 yrs before it needed renewed. When checking the website to do my renewal this month it says my license is expired because renewal was on my Birthday. My birthday was in Jan. which leaves 9 months before the official 2 yrs exp... I have worked this whole time. I am terrified when I go to do the reinstatement for lapsed license Does anyone know what will happen? Will I lose my license?

    I don't know, but I am aghast that your credentialing department didn't notice! Call the BON and ask. They'll tell you.
