Hello Everyone,
I'm in need of dire help. Last year I started a LPN program that was suppose to last for a duration of 12 months, we started out with 17 students 9 left the program- 2 failed- we gained 2 from another location so we were at a total of 8. I made it through the entire 12 months, only to learn I was far off from making it. Our program has a pass rate of 84%, mainly through TESTS 40% HESI 60%.
I was so frustruated towards the end, that I applied to ITT TECH and was accepted into the RN program. I took the seat and I'm scheduled to start in less than a week. I also started a new tech job at a local hospital, and I restarted my LPN... Which one should I quit

Don't abandon the RN program, delay it. You don't know what will happen, so you don't want to burn any bridges. Finish one thing at a time to maximize your opportunities. You have too much invested in the LVN program to just walk away now.
That makes sense, these RN programs are so hard to get into- I didn't want to lose my seat....you do have a valid point

Definitely stick with the RN program. If that is your ultimate goal, then dn't pass that opportunity up. I know that it is very difficult to get into those programs too.

Stay with the RN program. I want to be an RN and am fixing to graduate from the LVN program from lack of being able to get into an RN program without sitting on a waiting list for 2 years. But I think it is cost effective to just go to the RN program and do it all at once. Just my opinion :)
Thanks everyone for your advice. I followed everyone's advice and I'm taking the RN at full force.
