HELP! I need a topic...

OK so I am taking my online RN-BSN classes and I need some help with my topic...I mailed my coach, but she hasnt responded...

I have to do an evidence based practice paper and I need to come up with a topic by Mon. I am thinking (b/c I work in the ER) doing something on blood culture contamination. We have been having to change our protocols alot because our contamination rate is higher than it should be...

Is this good?? I suck at these kind of of papers...BAD

Sounds like a great topic, especially because it pertains to your experience. Just need to do some research to flesh it out.

I suggest browsing journals so that you'll be aware of which studies need more attention and which ones are kinda overused already. Good Luck! ;)

This topic (blood culture contamination) reminds me of the incident in Cali I believe it was a few years back when a woman came into the ER and when they drew her blood (if I'm telling the story right) everyone in the area were overcome by some sort of toxic fumes and some of the ER staff had to be hospitalized,I never did really fully understand what the reason/cause for this was (I think the patient died
