Help!! I need help for GRE test!!

I took the GRE about 5 times about 2-4 years ago and I just don't do well on standardized testing. My most recent score from 2 years ago was 500 Verbal, 430 Math, and 4.5 analytical. The one before that I had 430 Verbal and 500 Math and 4.0 analytical. I decided I would either look at CRNA programs that don't require the GRE, which there are numerous ones, and I would look at programs that offered a Post-Masters CRNA program, which there are numerous ones as well.

I had completed a MSN in NUrsing Education with a GPA of 3.91. With the Post-Masters CRNA program, nurses with a MSN degree in Nursing, who desire to complete a nurse anesthesia program, can apply to an anesthesia program. When you finish, you are not given a second Masters degree but rather a Post-Master Certificate, which allows you to take the Nurse Anesthesia Certification Exam. The cool thing about the POst Masters program is the GRE exam is not required since you already hold a MSN and the school knows you handle graduate level work. You are also exempt from re-taking the same MSN course courses, such as Nursing Theory, Research, and you don't have to complete a thesis or research project. All you take are you anesthesia core classes and the acutal anesthesia courses and you are done. Your courseload is a lot lighter then the traditional MSN nurse anesthesia students but you still finish the program at the same time with the other students.

I often mentor my military junior nurses, who do horrible on the GRE exam but want to ensure entry into a CRNA program. I tell them to complete a MSN in Nursing Education or Nursing Administration and then apply to a Post-Masters program. That way, you are ahead of the regualr students since you have your MSN already but you will still need to take the anesthesia core courses, such as Advanced Pharmacology, Advanced HEalth Assessment, and Advanced Physiology or some program require Advanced Pathophysiology.

Hope this helps, since I have come across many students are not even aware of POst Master Nurse Anesthesia programs.

Apply anyways. I know several students who have been accepted with sub1000 GRE scores. Aware of at least one person who was accepted with a 850. You never know.

I found Princeton Review's book extremly helpful; you can register on their site and get access to tutorials and practice exams.
