Help! I hate my job.

Published

I currently am nurse on a medical surgical floor. I have been a nurse a little over 3 years now and can't handle bedside nursing anymore. I have worked in ICU for a little bit of time and flat out didn't like it. I am looking for something outside of bedside nursing that I can do. I just don't know what is out there really for BSN nurses outside of the hospital that isn't home care.

Specializes in Case mgmt., rehab, (CRRN), LTC & psych.

I am a newer RN case manager for an insurance company who worked at the bedside for nearly 10 years before accepting that position. Many of my newly hired case management coworkers have less than five years of bedside nursing experience.

There's also occupational health nursing, corrections, psych, hospice case management, utilization review, pre-authorization, and methadone clinics.
