I need to take a chemistry class this summer towards my BSN(I graduate ADN this December). Anyone know of an accredited university that may offer chem. online??? I cant attend an actual class d/t time restrictions in my senior year, but want to be able to apply to BSN program as soon as I graduate.

Be sure to check first with the admissions counselor of your prospective BSN program to find out if they accept online chemistry courses to fulfill prereq requirements. Some nursing programs will not accept online chemistry courses because they require a "hands-on" lab to accompany the course. If the program does accept online courses, then inquire about specific online offerings and get the assurance in writing that the specific course will count. When I was taking prereq courses to get into my RN-BSN program, I used the University of Wyoming correspondence course to fulfill my organic chemistry prereq requirement (this was before the days of online!). I did well in the course and my RN-BSN program accepted it for full credit without any problems.
