Help from experienced nurses- post menopause problem

Hi everyone. I've got a friend with a wee problem and I need advice.

She's post menopause. Now for a couple weeks now has had severe discomfort "down there" and recently went to the gynecologist for an update on her biopsy hoping that they could do something to numb the discomfort. the doctors said that there wasn't any sign of cancer and that they had absolutely no idea what was wrong with her.

Now she had been prescribed with cream and it hasn't been very effective. It's get worse every day. Now I've visited some menopause websites and some women say that if you stick a vitamin e pill up there it helps. My poor freind is very upset as you can imagine. She is going to go see the dermatologist soon. Hopefully she'll make some progress.

Any suggestions would be great!

Firefly,

Are you an RN? or a student nurse? or just here to ask a question of nurses?

I'm sorry that we cannot give out medical advice on the forum as per TOS.I hope your friend sees the doctor soon for professional advice.
