Help me decide

Deep in the back of my mind, I'm still at that dilemma where I don't know which path to choose. The one where I go for lpn, or the one where I go straight for rn. I have already finished all of the pn prerequisites this past year. All I would really have to do is take the net and then apply for fall '09. I have never had any nursing experience at all so I don't know what it is like.. Currently I'm enrolled in the nurse aide classes to get certified in that, but I just don't know. I'm afraid that if I do go straight to rn I'll get there and realize that I don't like it, whereas with becoming a cna and starting the pn program in the fall I can see if nursing is even for me. HELP.

Edit: I'm just going to stick with my original plan and get my lpn. I'm only twenty years old, so why rush things? Don't people say life is about the journey anyway? So yeah, that is what I'll do.

devil's advocate here, in some areas, especially around here no clue about yours, it's VERY hard for the LPN's to find jobs outside LTC lately, the current class of ADN students are going to be jockeying rather hard for RN positions, what are the options to you as an LPN until you bridge over to RN and is in an area you'll want to work in while you complete the bridge program?
