Help with Classes at athens tech

Hi I'm Quanesha, I'm enrolled at Athens technical college and have to take five major classes and out of the five classes I have to get a 3.68 GPA to get into the Nursing program. I have to take: AP I & II, Introductory Microbiology, English Composition and Rhetoric, Mathematical Modeling. I was wondering if anybody had any insight on the classes or study aids, books, etc... that would be helpful. I was thinking about getting the anatomy coloring book and the microbiology book too. I want to ace AP 1 & 2 and microbiology, and the math, cause everyone say there going to be hard but with a lot of studying.

Quanesha,

I too am at Athens Tech, and am working toward entering the 2010 ADN program.

Really, dont fret it to much. I am wraping up A&P 1 and math modeling. The math is not hard at all. Just entering alot of stuff into a calculator. The A&P is not a cake walk by any means but not impossible. Alot of memory work. Eps. the appendicular muscles. I can recommend some excellent instructors.

Good Luck

while it is important to be able to network, everyone should be mindful of the following:

  1. it is a small world - when we narrow it down to a state and throw in some personal info, there is actually a pretty good chance someone may recognize you if you are not careful. your privacy is paramount to us.
  2. while allnurses.com is a wonderful place to vent (without excess personally identifiable details) it is not the place to express why ("x" specific person, place or program) is terrible. gripe away, but since we cannot permit allegations to be made about named entities, your care in not naming them is very much appreciated.
  3. please do not give out personal information about others. do not name names where anyone could identify the person in any facility including your nursing programs.

it is better to relay this information via private message. members will be able to send pm's once they have 15 posts.

thank you for your cooperation.
