Help with CGFNS

I did my RGN training in the UK 1986-1989.

My school of nursing has closed and my transcripts have been 'mislaid'.

The associative head nurse at my training hospital has filled the CGFNS form in and verified the hours I did during my training but the CGFNS will not accept it as it is not the actual transcript.

HELP PLEASE........I have been offered a job in North Dakota but cant get over this hurdle, it is driving me crazy.

Thank you in advance for any help offered

Most if not all UK universities will only keep transcripts for 10 years. Some states have accepted something from the NMC and it may be worth contacting them to see if they can help. Also did you get a letter from the university regarding unable to rovide a copy of your transcripts?

Hi Silverdragon,

The NMC said they are not able to help with this problem.

I hadn't thought of getting the University to write to say they don't have the records, thank you for that idea

If you get the university to write a letter see if you can get them to submit a copy of training. The NMC used to provide a letter confirming training requirements that was required before you get your RN status
