hi guys,

would really appreciate so help with an assignment, have to do a case study of a patient who was admitted to the er with an acute asthma attack, need to include the key nursing interventions and an in-depth analysis of 3 nursing priorities. thanks

a case study is pretty much an essay form of a care plan. you begin by looking up information about asthma. start your presentation off with a discussion about what asthma is, it's cause, pathophysiology and signs and symptoms. then, following the steps of the nursing process you present your plan of care. (1) assessment - the signs and symptoms of a person having an asthma attack when they come into the er and what the doctor will order for them (2) the nursing problems (nursing diagnoses) (3) goals of nursing care and nursing interventions (4) putting the plan into action and (5) evaluation.
