Help with application!

I'm currently in KNAP. I'm applying for a job. A question, "have you ever been dismissed or asked to resign?" I plan on being totally honest, but I don't want to scare them from giving me an oopurtunity for an interview. I failed a random and was positive for thc, I have never been a regular and thought for sure I would pass. I didn't, I've been successfully in KNAP and absolutely no addiction issues. I'm also working on my BSN online currently with a 4.0. I just don't know how to word this answer.
