Hello Everyone,
I am new to this site! I will be (God WIlling) returning to school to enter the Nursing profession, and would love whatever information you'd be able to provide.
Is there a difference between LVN and LPN? or are they synonomous?
Also, does anyone know of any LVN/LPN programs that are either evening or partially online?
Also... to all of you fabulous nurses that have inspired me - when I was in the hospital or someone in my family was - THANK YOU! You have inspired me to the point of choosing a new career in life - and I appreciate all the love and hard work all of you do for your patients!

LPN's and LVN's are the same thing. They are just called LVN's in CA and TX and LPN's everywhere else.
Where are you located? I live in Western PA and I know of a handful of evening/weekend programs around here and Eastern OH. As for online, try http://www.deaconess.edu. There are also a few other distance programs out there but they are for the residents of that state (ie, Minnesota). You could also do a program search at http://www.discovernursing.com or check with your state's BON.
Good luck,
Marci
