Hi. I am going to dover business college to become a medical assistant. But I want to work in labor and delivery or mother an baby but they have told me I cant do that. That i have to go to school for nursing. Now i have tooken anatomy and terminology. Do I have to take that again. I would like more info about what to do. Thank you

i am pretty sure that the courses that you took for direct care will not be sufficient to sub for nursing courses..however you should be able to work these classes in and any exposure is to your benefit

So does this mean that I will have to take anatomy and terminolgy again. So I wouldnt be able to tranfer my credits then.

Start by doing a search for schools in your area. You can do that right here on this site by clicking on this link: http://www.allnursingschools.com/?src=an_fm13_15_100jaans

Then go to each school's website and find out exactly what they require for prerequisites. Unless the anatomy & physiology and medical terminology classes you took were at a community college or a university, they probably will not transfer.

I doubt you would. I know at my school all of the health programs have the same pre-reqs. Check in to it. Good luck!
