hi,everyone.

my name is " marinsf ". it's my first time here.

i am a registered nurse working in japan.

i have just got att and i am taking nclex-rn exam within a year.

i have a question about ssn( social security number ).

even if i pass nclex exam, my license won't be validated until i get ssn in ca.

i heard about the limit within 1 year, or 3 years but i am not sure what is correct information.

until when should i get ssn in ca after i pass nclex-rn exam?

does anyone know the latest information about the question above?

thank you.

there is no latest information, you will not get a license until you give the ca brn a valid social security number. and you do not ge tthat until you are in the us.

you will not be able to get a ssn# until you have gone thru the immigration process and have arrived in the us. california gives you three years to give them the ssn#, otherwise you will need to reapply to them. you will not need to take the nclex exam again.

Hi, Suzanne4

Thank you for your quick reply.

I am relieved to hear that CA gives me 3 years until I get a SSN#.

OK. I wil make a plan to go to USA studying for NCLEX-RN exam.

Thank you, again.

I highly suggest thay you do the review while you are overseas, not to come to the US to prepare for the exam. I can help you if you want.

Hi, Suzanne4

As your suggestion,

I will prepare for the exam and improve english skills while I work as a rn in Japan. And then, I will go to the US after I pass the exam.

Thanks, again.
