I live in the mountains of Colorado and have a great job in a great hospital, however we (Wife and 2 kids) do not live near any family. We are considering a move to Michigan to be closer to family, but I can't get any hospitals to quote me a pay range for RN's. I have 7 years experience in Ortho and Med/Surg, am the charge Nurse on a Med/Surg floor now, and have a little cross-training in CCU. We are looking at Mid-Michigan and Western Michigan, anyone have a ballpark pay range for the Grand Rapids area, or Midland/Saginaw areas?

I am not going to go into detail about where in Michigan I work, in the interest in preserving what anonymity I can. However, the listing Esme posted appears reasonable based on my area..
My hunch is that jobs would be a bit more plentiful in the GR area as opposed to Saginaw. Can't really back that up, other than it seems I've heard alot about the medical complexes in GR lately.
