Hello, everyone. I am Chako; I live in RI; I am a RN. I am moving from the smallest state to the biggest(the biggest, the best. Dallas, here I come) in July (who said the size matter:smokin:). I am so exited about it. My husband is already down there, and he loves it.

By the way, I need your help, Dallas nurses. I am looking for the hospital to work at. I am looking at Presy, Baylor, Methodis, RHD, or go down there as traveler.

What do you think, ladies and gentlemen? I will appreciate your advice.

Since you are already at a level I trauma hospital, I would go with either Baylor or Parkland. Both are level I trauma centers that are also teaching facilities. I'm not sure about Baylor, but I know that Parkland has great orientation programs for their ICUs. Plus, Parkland's pay and benefits are slightly better than what you would get at Baylor. But Baylor would still be an excellent option as well. I know nurses from both hospitals that love their jobs.

Parkland has an excellent residency for critical care nursing. The program is approx. 3 months long. But if you don't want to commute, there is also Baylor/Plano (not so busy) and as you mentioned Presby Dallas (busier that Baylor/Plano). I would avoid RHD if you like to be busy.

Thank you, everyone. I feel a little bit better knowing about the area hospitals. I would like to get as much as info about the area hospitals; so, Dallas nurses, please keep posting your messages!
