I am in the last semester of the program now, and I enjoy it. I applied for the Fall 2013 semester, but I didn't get accepted, do I had to send in a form saying that I wanted to get in for spring 2014 and I did. You will have to put in a lot of time studying for the hardest classes, pharmacology and medical surgical nursing. The teachers are very helpful.
if you have any questions, feel free to ask here or send me a private message.
Hello,
Thank you for responding to my post. I am soooo confused on what to do for my auto bio and interviewing a LVN... If you could send me an example of your autobio via my personal email at [email protected], I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much in advance.
Hi, I applied to the LVN for spring 2015 and the interview with the LVN seems confusing but it is actually easy. All you need to do is ask some general questions what do you enjoy about your job what are the benefits what are the downsides how long have you been in the profession would you recommend and why and etc. also use those responses and create a paper from them. I'm sure you will do a good job!
Me too, I thought I did well in the interview, but I am still nervous especially after reading what people are saying on here. How were your test scores and your pre req grades? I was told they would be sent 2 weeks after our interview but I read it would be up to 4 weeks. I am so anxious waiting, so I am praying for both of us! I hope we both get in!
My reading was 72% and Math 64%, and I have so many credit hours because I am also going to be a RN. I made an A in both A&P 1 and 2. and a B in Nutrition. I'm currently a CNA at Memorial Hermann right now so that will help. I heard they look at all of that. I'm trying not to think about it too much because I'll start getting nervous about it lol. I believe my overall application was a good one but we will see.... & YES, I would love for us both to get in.. We can be great study buddies .. Thank for the prayers and keep me posted and I will do the same for you.
Wow well you have a lot going for you. I think you will get it :). I still haven't gotten the letter but trying to be patient (checking the mailbox multiple times daily). I feel I might start stalking the mailman lol. But let me know when you get yours. This Monday will be 3 weeks. And definitely if we get in we can be study buddies, I know that in nursing school that is so important. In my CNA class we had study group twice a week and it was so helpful and I am still friends with a couple of them.
I would also recommend that once yall get in, and if you have Facebook, someone should make a Facebook group page (keep it closed), and use that page to keep each other updated on assignments, schedule changes, etc. Someone in my group did that, and it was very helpful for keeping us updated on stuff and we could also vent about the program because it was a private, closed group (lol).
