Harrassment??

Hello my Fellow Nurses!!

I have been a nurse for over 11 yrs w/experience in Medsurg,Er,Geriatrics, charge Nurse, manager, home health and Now Hospice RNCM.

Recently the company I truly was happy with merged with another company and I was switched to a different office due to my area I was in. Major changes and expectations, felt like I was learning a new job all over again but with no orientation and learning as you go. High stress and frustrations. Change from salary to hourly with last 3 pays incorrect (short hrs) due to someone else now putting in my time. We are not allowed to enter our own time. Went from alot of Autonomy to micromanagement!! Recently I emailed my direct Mgr and ED in reply to an email about working on call that I will not be volunteering due to being paid $2.00/hr if I am on call and not needed but need to be available the whole shift. If I get called to see a pt I will get paid time I worked,if not I receive the $2.00/hr for the shift. In email I told them in my opinion that was an insult to my profession. I was told I was out of line making that statement. Next recently on my day off a pt of mine had b/l pleural drains the nurse who went to see her was not trained/no experience doing this process and I sympathized with her and pt was having distress so I went and saw her as what was best for the pt and was not a big deal to me and didn't mind doing it. This was turned into a major issues instead of being thanked for going above and beyond due to a statement as reply to email from my ED that I simply stated I went to see the pt on my day off due to nurse not being comfortable doing the procedure. I was reprimanded for making such statement. Also I have been told by my ED she will not give me anymor ed pts until I trust her and the company and in with both feet amon other statements that have made me uncomfortable. I have a great reputation in my field and area I work. No write ups and i don't call out. Never had this problem with any job. Need help is this harrassement???

If your username is your real name, please change it ASAP as to not cause anymore issues with your current employer and maintain your anominity. Sounds like the new ones in control we gunning for you, unfortunately

Doesn't sound like harassment - according to classic definition - because of the changes you've described in the organization. They can claim that your job role has changed & you are not adapting well to the change. This is also a traditional way to 'encourage' staff to voluntarily terminate.

In my neck of the woods, acute care experienced CMs, especially those with CCM, are very marketable & have many employment options. I haven't come across any CMs in acute care that are not salaried... maybe it's different in Hospice?

I think you already know what you need to do. Wishing you the best of luck on your job hunt.
