Hi everybody,

I am new to this forum. my query is related to my fiancee who will be coming to US on H4 (dependant visa). She s Bsc Nurse with CG + ielts passed.

What s the best possible way she can start working in US after completion of NCLEX.

If some hospital/agency ready to sponser her,then what will be procedure to get work permit ?

How soon we both can get a GREEN CARD as per the current laws and wait times.

once passing NCLEX she needs to find a hospital to sponser her. Then the process for GC can start, I believe she can then apply for AOS and start work. Suzanne may give a more informed answer

H-4 does not give her authorization to work, the only thing available is the green card, and she will need to follow the procedure for that. She should go ahead and apply for the Visa Screen Certificate as she will need that for the green card, and she does qualify since she has passed English exams and has a CG Certificate.

Next step would be to get NCLEX done as quickly as possible. None of the facilities that I know if in the US will hire without the nurse first passing the NCLEX exam. She will need to then find an emploeyer who can start the process for you.

But I hope that you are planning to marry before that procedure begins, if you want to be included on that green card petition.
