GSU Fall 2012

Not sure if there's one of these started already, but it's still pretty far off, so I thought I'd make one. Have any of you guys taken the TEAS yet? If not, where are you taking it? I didn't see any dates listed for GSU.

I was in the front row!! How about you? I really hope it's not automatically sent to GSU, because I was pretty pleased with my last score and SUPER tired this morning, so I might not want this one submitted without my seeing it first.

i was in the second row! i was soo tired too but i didn't think it was too bad. you choose the one you want them to see on the application so it doesnt really matter. :)

It was really nice actually meeting some GSU candidates... I love knowing we could all be in class together next semester!

Definitely wasn't too bad. I actually saw a lot of repeat questions, which surprised me. I figured ATI would realize that we're all probably going to take the test more than once. Ah, well. How'd you do the first time around?

aww i wish we could've met!

I got a 92 the first time but i decided to retake it because my science was lower than the rest of my scores plus im only a freshman and ill be competing with other students with the same or better GPA and have more pre-reqs completed than i do. i hope i did well this time. im nervous to see my score! do you know when our scores will be posted?

I emailed ATI about sending scores to GSU, and apparently they do it automatically.

Ahhh, I keep getting confused with these threads! I totally didn't realize there were two of them.

hey fellow applicants! I just turned in my application for Traditional today. I'm so nervous. My program GPA is a 3.89 and my TEAS score is an 88.7. I'm hoping that they look at each section specifically because I got a 100 in Science and a 93 in Math but a 76 in English :(

Do any of you guys mind sharing your stats?

Program GPA: 3.73

TEAS: 91.3

Did you hand yours in or mail it?

I handed it in. I'm too paranoid to mail it out cause I feel like it might get lost. 8th floor on urban.

I'm the same way, hahah! I can't wait to turn it in and get it over with. I kept putting my essay off, even though that's the easiest part.

Yes it was. They only check it for grammar so it wasn't a big deal. I wrote about HIV. What topic are you writing about? Do you know how everything is weighted in the application? I heard they don't really look that much in recommendation letters as long as they are formatted correctly and follow instructions. I'm going to be a nervous wreck for the next two months!!!!

Do you know when they start sending out letters? If I get deferred, I'll probably switch my focus, graduate with my other degree (I only have a semester left of residency hours), and reapply as a post-bacc. I wrote about my experiences with Type I diabetes and stigma attached to it.

I'm not sure how everything is weighted, except I know that the TEAS and GPA are most important. Turning in my application today!! :)
