Application deadline is about 2 months out for Grossmont College ADN program (Spring 2022 cohort)

Who is applying and how did everyone manage finishing pre reqs during covid? I'm getting everything together for my application and a little discouraged that my points won't be quite as high as I hoped.

Hello, I am planning to apply for the Spring 2022 cohort, but when I tried to request for transcript evaluation with my counselor, she said I can't request for evaluation because I am not yet a student there. Is anyone in this situation as well? Are you taking prereqs at grossmont?

So what I'm getting from this is that in order for me to get in the nursing program and become a student I need my transcripts evaluated, but in order to get it evaluated, I need to be a student????? So I guess I need to take a Summer class to become a student......

Hi! New to the site, but I sent out my application for Spring 2022 this past week. Going to be anxiously waiting the next few months to hear back. I should have 82 points if I’m given points for everything I submitted. After reading some other threads it seems like people have gotten in with around the same amount of points but of course I’m nervous! I took anatomy, physio, and microbio during Covid. It sucked but I did well, thankfully.

Just turned in my application yesterday! Let’s keep each other updated on communications from grossmont. Hoping for good news in sept/oct ?

I submitted my application this week. I was so worried about my application having all the documentation they needed to show proof for extra points. Good luck everyone!

Hey everyone! I've also applied for the Spring 2022 cohort. Just wanted to check in and wish everybody luck on their applications! Looking back at the threads for the previous cohorts, if it takes us the same time to start getting replies, we should start hearing back around the end (~the 28th) of this month.   In the mean time I've been reviewing my anatomy and physiology. Anybody else doing review?

I found a good podcast to listen to for review driving to work and back called Anatomy and physiology Bit by Bit. The production quality is really good, and it's free on Spotify.

Does anyone else have any good resources for review besides their textbooks?

From what I understood off grossmont's website, I believe they said 3 months from the application deadline. Which I think would put us at the end of October. My guess would be due to covid it's taking them longer to receive/review all applications. Hopefully we hear back sooner rather than later. I haven't done any reviews yet. I took the TEAS mid July so I've been taking a mental break.

Good luck to everyone!

I've been checking for updates and emails regularly. Haven't heard anything yet! I'm hoping this week or next! Last cohort heard may 14th and they were supposed to hear back by June 1st! Hoping we'll be on a similar timeline! Definitely feeling anxious!

I’ve been checking my email like crazy! I applied to Grossmont, Palomar, and Miracosta. Grossmont is my first choice and I hope I can get in with 92 points. The waiting is killing me! Anyone else feeling the same?

I think with 92 points you have a really good chance of being accepted. I've heard the norm cut off for points is mid to high 80s, with some years grossmont has even taken applicants with points in the high 70s when first round students don't accept their spots. I think the hard thing is knowing what points they'll except from the life experience portion.
