grades for roane state, anyone??

Published

Does anyone who has/is applying to Roane State's nursing program feel comfortable about sharing their grades, GPA, hours completed, HESI score, and if they were accepted? I've heard a lot of rumors as to what the minimum GPA was for certain years, etc., and kind of wanted to see where I stand. I'm sure there's a lot of other nursing hopefuls who would like to know also :)

I have all 27 hours completed and my grades are Comp I- B, Speech-A, Humanities elec- A, Math- A, Psch- A, Biol2010&2020- C's :(, Biol2230- B; I made a 97%on the HESI. I applied last year minus my Biol 2020 and Biol 2230 and didn't get in. I hope some more people feel comfortable sharing....it will help everyone's peace of mind!

Hello,

I currently attend Roane State's nursing program and I know the pressure you are all feeling about getting into the program. I now understand why they have to be "picky" on who they choose. The work load can be overwhelming at times. The content isn't hard, but the quantity is consuming. You basically don't have a life- just studying. We have 3 weeks left, then finals and I'm so looking forward to a break.

As to prerequisites, I'm thinking you pretty much have to have a high gpa, and the more of them you have done the better. It seems that everyone that started the program with me was a 4.0 and already completed their micro. Also, all of us 4.0er's are just hoping to hold on to B's in the program:)

Anyway, It is hard to compare because there is a whole different group of people applying, and that plays into it too. If you do get in it is great, but it is refreshingly exhausting! Just remember to fasten your seat belts!!
