Me Too!!! Me Too!!! I got my acceptance letter today. The confirmation has to be sent back by May 31st. I did notice a typo though in the letter that the Medical report is due on November 30, 2005???? That was a little confusing, but I am just going to get it done as quick as I can so it is out of the way. Congrats!!

Sorry I posted so little info. I was running out the door to take kids to swimteam. I just wanted to let everyone know ASAP!

Yes, you have to let them know by 5/31, probably not enough time to hear from Mercer as well. Have to figure all of that out!

My letter didn't state what campus...am I to assume it is L'ville, since that is what I applied for?

Anyway, hope some others got got good news as well today!

I got my letter too ! But I have mixed emotions. For almost a year that I was doing my prereqs I would talk to the advisor every week and find out what my chances were and worked very hard to keep my 4.0 GPA. I even studied for the NET exam for 6 months ! I prayed hard that the program should continue in Lawrenveville at least for another admissions cycle since I couldn't go to Clarkston.

Then in January, I applied to NGCSU just to have another option and I got in. After everything I've heard and the main difference being classes/clinicals twice a week as opposed to everyday 9-4, which is unmanageable for me with a 4 year old and a husband who travels a lot, I decided NGCSU may work better for me.

Today when I saw the acceptance letter, I almost cried. It's like waiting all your life for something and then saying no when you get it. Am I doing the right thing ? I feel so sure one moment and the next I am torn by indecision.

I got an acceptance letter too!!!!!! YEAHHHHH for us!!!!! I cant believe it!!

I know exactly what you are feeling. I LOVED doing my prereqs at GPC. I adored my micro teacher, made great friendships at the Lawrenceville Campus and I also talked often with the nursing advisor at that campus. I was thrilled when I got my acceptance letter from GPC. Then my husband convinced me to move to Forsyth County to be closer to his job and I decided to also apply to NGCSU. Well, I was accepted to both. I was so torn - I even took my GPC paperwork with me to orientation/registration at NGCSU. I met a girl at that orientation that told me of her experiences at GPC and then I went through the information session/registration with the NGCSU staff. Before I left that night I knew what my decision would be - I attended NGCSU. I graduated from NGCSU this past weekend with my 4.0 GPA still intact and GREAT memories of nursing school. I really miss being in school already! I made wonderful, lifelong friends and am making plans to apply to NGCSU's RN to BSN program for Fall 2007. It was very hard for me to let GPC go, but it was the best decision I ever made. NGCSU was hard, but I never feared failing out and ALL of my instructors were caring and supportive. I could not have asked for a better experience. Trust me when I say you are making the right decision!! Feel free to PM me - I would be glad to give you my phone number to tell you more about what to expect! Good luck with your decision - I know it is difficult!!:icon_hug:

Gansu,

Talk to EagleGirl06!! She has been a great support system to both me and Juli (your friend from GPC - Dunwoody). PM her, call her, I promise you, you won't regret it! Please talk to her.

EagleGirl06, I'm so glad to hear you are doing the BSN program! I hope you will continue to mentor me, and my classmates who adopted you as their mentor, in the coming year. Good luck on your interviews This week!

Hey Eaglegirl!! Are ya bored yet!! I saw your post and had to reply!!! Its so great to say we're grads!!!! We made it!!

When I first began my journey, I was faced with a decision between two schools. I am so thankful that I went with my heart's decision of NGCSU.

I must add that at NGCSU the instructors are wonderful and you actually end up with some time for family!

I would greatly appreciate any insight into what a professional nursing journal is. They request that we have one for GPC and I have no idea what they would like. Thank you so much for any help.

I'm so jealous of yall....can yall tell me how to get accepted in gpc's nursing program so I can start NOW
