I just applied to Vanderbilt for the ACNP program. I have good GRE scores, great references and a borderline GPA. I went to college straight out of HS and have a horrible GPA from that year. Otherwise my GPA is greater than 3.0. With that one year I bombed, it is 2.8. That was over 15 years ago. Do you think they will count that one year?

Most schools weigh the school of nursing gpa seperately vs the overall. My advice to you is:
apply to several programs. Best of luck to you.
Thanks for the input. I have applied to several programs. I don't like to put all my eggs in one basket. I am partial to Vanderbilt though. That is my first choice.
Is there anyone who has a personal experience with this?
