got the small envelope but...

hello u guys! i just had my results and i passed!:wink2: im ecstatic and so happy! :redpinkhe but when i read the letter, it says that i need to get my SSN first to activate my license or something of that sort or the application expires within 3 years. what do they mean by that? do i apply for SSN again after 3years of not having it or will i need to take the exam again? thare is a quite a long wait if you're coming from the philippines because of retrogression and i am pretty sure, it would take me more than 3years of waiting. help! i dont know know what do i think. i dont know if i should be worried or not. do i need to? thanks and more power to allnurses.com:yeah:

Please take the time to do some reading here, you do not have a license issued to you and are not considered a US RN at this point in time. It is a very well known fact that CA does not issue a license to you if you do not have a SSN#. And there is no way to get a SSN# until you have been thru the immigration process and are physically in the US and ready to begin work with a visa that will permit you to work here legally.

There are already several threads that address what you will need to do so that you do not need to rewrite the NCLEX exam.

Closing this thread since there is already much on the same topic, please just do a search for it.

And congratulations on passing that exam.
