Apr 9, 201511 yr Is there any other nursing schools that have good ratings and reputations?I did some research on nursing schools in the country but would like to have some advice from you guys...So far I have 3.93 GPA overall with 85% on TEAS...I don't mind flying to a different state...
Apr 9, 201511 yr That's crazy you were rejected with that GPA and TEAS score. What were the requirements for the school you applied??
Apr 9, 201511 yr There are a lot of nursing schools all over the country with excellent reputations. The internet is your friend. I suggest narrowing down some states you are interested in and go from there.
Apr 9, 201511 yr Without any specifics it's hard for anyone to really help. Do you have a bachelors already? Are you looking at ADN programs? 4 year programs? As the poster above suggested, pick a few states where you would like to live / work / are not impossible to get a job as a new grad.A good starting point is to look up the schools NCLEX pass rate which should be on the BON website. A high pass rate doesn't necessarily mean it's a great program but it's a start.
Apr 9, 201511 yr Author Thanks for the comments. I applied for a nursing school in a state university but they put me on the alternate list because of some issues regarding my visa. The problems are already solved though.. I am an international student and don't have a bachelor's degree..I was looking into nursing programs in ivy league schools but do you think my scores are competitive enough for their programs?
