Got 228 Ques. on boards.....Scared!

I just took the boards and got 228 ques.

I would appreciate any input from people who either passed, or failed, and if you got such a high # of ques?

Does it mean I got enough right? or Does it mean I got so many wrong that getting the next 37 right wouldn"t matter?

I'm quite scared!!!

I just graduated in dec., and also just took my boards on 2-22. I'm still waiting for results in the mail. But a professor of ours told us something that put things in perspective a little. She said that as long as you're still answering questions you haven't yet failed. I don't know if that helps or not, but it helped me at the time. Good luck.

Wouldn't it be great if after the exam shut off that you could view your results -- pass/fail? I empathize the stress you are under. There is no accurate method as to whether you passed or not, just as there is no certainty as to whether a person passes when the computer shuts off at 75 or 228. Try to hang in there and do something special for yourself. Try to think positive -- you probably passed. If not -- you can always take the exam again. Please know that every registered nurse has taken the boards and we all know what you are going through. Hang in there. I'm rooting for you.

HI,MINE CUT OFF AT 75 AND OF COURSE I JUST KNEW THAT I FAILED BUT I DID PASS. A FRIEND WENT TO 205 AND PASSED TOO, SO IT REALLY DOES NOT MATTER THE NUMBER THAT YOU GET TO BEFORE IT SHUTS OFF. GOOD LUCK AND KEEP YOUR HEAD UP NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS.GOD BLESS

There was one other person taking the NCLEX same day as me, and she was there before me, and was still there 1 hour later when i was done. Let us know how you did.

You will probably do fine. A classmate of mine got ALL the questions (>200) then got a notice she failed. Next week her license was in the mail. She called the Boards: "oops" was about all she said. Can you imagine her stress??? everyone has a story about the Boards. Soon you will be hashing yours out with other RN's.

yeah!!!! I passed!!!! Thanks to all of you for you input.... it took 2 weeks to find out! 2 weeks of hell, esp since my friend who took the boards the same day found out in 5 days!!! But it's over...Thanks Again!!!
