Good online msn program need help picking one

Hi,

I'm an RN that is looking for a good online MSN program. I'm told it will take me about two yrs to finish. I plan on full time enrollment. I have been approached by alot of different programs...sometimes to the point I feel like they are overbearing with trying to get you in....sales pitch. I'm in VA, and might even look towards masters in nursing informatics. I just need help on picking one. Money is tight, and I want my dollars to go as far as they can. I plan to pay for most of it out of pocket and second year do a small loan. I'm also aware of interest rates and so on. I can do the independent study...isn't most of nursing school like that reading, retaining and tons of papers to write. So I'm all on point with that. Just need to compare programs. I know no program is perfect, but for the over all factor would you send a friend to the school you attended and why? I'm not looking for hand holding...but direct to the point. I know all the reps tell you why their school is the best, but I want to hear from students and recent grads. Thanks for your time.

I just graduated from Loyola in new Orleans in the hcsm program. I live outside of new orleans and and chose this school because It is a very recognizable university in Louisiana. It has an all classroom or all distance learning option. I enjoyed the program and found the faculty to be very supportive. Most of the classes were papers or projects with only a few actual tests. I would highly recommend it.
