Yay...I found out yesterday I got in. I was accepted into the lawrence memorial/regis college nursing program for January 2010. In september I will take the two general education courses I have left (ethics and statistics), and then I will only have nursing classes to take for the next four semesters. I'm so relieved!! :yeah:

Congrats!:up::D:cool::lol2::nurse::cheers::cheers::balloons::smiley_aa

congrats!!!! As a LM/RC student going into my last semester I am very happy for you. It is an intense program, but I have enjoyed it.

Did you have the general education classes out of the way before starting the nursing classes?

I did Micro during 101, and Ethics last summer session. I also got married in the middle of 102 (which I do not recommend lol) Actually if at all possible seclude yourself during the second semester, they recommend no major life changes, but my wedding was planned before I found out that I was accepted.

I hope I'm not scaring you, I am a tutor at the school, and an honor student. If you can dedicate yourself to the courses you will do fine.

Specializes in I'm thinking ER or ICU someday.

That's awesome, congratulations! I start my BSN program in 9 days! So excited!:D

Well I have 2 kids and work part time so life is a challenge on its own...lol. However, I worked it out that all my gen eds would be taken before the nursing classes so I would hae less to juggle. I'm excited to start.

So you probably already have excellent time management skills, which will be a bonus. Just make sure you have quiet time to study. How old are your kids?

I have all As in my pre-reqs and co-reqs so I feel like I will do well. I juggled mirco and a&pII at the same time while raising 2 kids and working part-time so I know I can do it. I just feel better knowing I can focus on my nursing classes and clinical hours without gen eds in the way to bog me down with more work.

well knowing that you juggled a&p 2 and micro together, and family and got A's, i think you'll do fine
