Going back to school

Nursing Students ADN/BSN

Hi, I am finally going to jump in and go back to school. Any nurses out there that have been on the job for 24 years and don't remember college math and research papers? I need some encouragement. Please share your stories!

There are a LOT of us out here!!!!! You will do fine. It took me about a month to get adjusted to studying and had absolutely no clue on the new writing style. I utilized the school's writing tutors to help me for the first couple of classes. You will do fine. Your experience will actually be of great service. I am not a math whiz, and only had to do stats (during which I had shingles the ENTIRE class). In actuality, I did better going back to school than I did the first time around.

I've been an LPN for 26 years and a couple years ago started get my pre-reqs done. It's tough in some ways, but having computer/internet access is wayyyy better than the way we did papers back in the day. I thought I'd really struggle getting back into it but did ok. I'm not in an accelerated ADN program. Good luck to you!
