Going back to OB

Question: Are there refresher courses for currently active (working nurses) for specific specialties? I have previously worked in OB but have been in Oncology for the past 9 years. I would like to refresh my knowledge and or skills as I am thinking of applying to some OB positions.

Thanks so much!

Sometimes I look at my old school books (if you kept them) to brush up. Do some research and se if they have any continuing education classes on OB in your area. Good luck!

The terminology for charting fetal monitoring has changed in recent years. The Basic Fetal Monitoring course on the AWHONN site should be enough to bring you up to speed.
