going AC

Hello All:

Okay, I have a question that my Army Nurse Corps

Health Care Recruiter can't seem to answer: Leaving RC for AC, just waiting for my packet to be approved/accepted. BUT I am also up to go before the promotion board/Reserves. IF I make promotion, and I am accepted into Active Duty I understand that I must resign my Reserve Commission and take the Oath as AC. My question is: DO I retain my promotion, will it follow me into AC or must I go before the promotion board - again?

Thanks for any advice. Have a great, safe Thanksgiving y'all!

Hello Athena!

Congrats firstly!

While I do not know your answer, nor do I know how any rank transfer from Reserves to AD goes, I just cannot fathom them taking your rank away! Good luck on your boards AND your packet. :) Thank you for your service, dedication and for your hard work and care.
