How long does it take from graduation to actually be able to sit for the NCLEX?? I've heard you can register for the NCLEX before you graduate and I've heard you'll end up waiting on the school to send notice of your graduation to the State Board before you can even apply for NCLEX...so what's the real deal??

You have to wait on the school to send notice to SCHEDULE your NCLEX but you can register with Pearson any time (although there is a deadline- I think a month before graduation???). I graduated on Saturday and got my ATT on Thursday. Just a warning though, you should schedule your NCLEX as soon as you get the letter because I wanted to test in December and the earliest date available was mid-January.
Good luck!

Your school submits info to the BON when you graduate. It took me a LONG time to get my ATT because they didn't send mine.. I graduated in May and sat in August..most people took it it June, though.

Does anyone know how long it takes to receive your GN license or be able to verify it online? I just graduated this month and I really would like to take the NCLEX before the end of January.
I think usually about 2 wks. You'll only be able to verify it online; they don't send you a paper one.
It took longer to verify my GN license online then it did to actually get my ATT. My ATT took less then a week- online verification was a week and a half. This is the time when you have to pray your school is on top of things.
