hi, i graduate in january from lpn school, and hopefully will continue my education starting the lpn-rn transition program next year. but i was wondering if anyone knew of good gifts i could tell some family members to get me for graduating? last month my husband got me a nice stethoscope and a nice pair of shoes for my bday. i don't know what else to ask for, what else do i need when i start (i am kinda clueless). i definitely don't want anyone to spend a lot of money on me.

thanks for all the help, jenna

Inexpensive gift for nurses: Scrubs. Nursing Drug reference is more expensive, but valuable. I personally like the Nurg Ref and the IV drug ref.

Possibly trauma shears and a pen light- depending on what work you'll be doing.

I'd also comment that movie tickets, good books, and DVD's that you are interested in are excellent gifts for nurses- need some down time!

Support knee highs, protective eyewear, a reflex hammer, bandage scissors, a utilitarian watch with a second hand, a English-Spanish medical phrase pocket guide, a tote bag, a foot massager, hand cream.

How about nice relaxing gifts for after all that schooling and work....such as scented bath salts or bubble baths, scented lotions...you know that "bath and body works" type stuff. Nursing can be very stressful and it's nice to come home and just be able to relax for five minutes. And for the nursing stuff how about a gift certificate to a nursing uniform shop, so you can pick out what you need.

Congratulations on graduating! Good luck!

A nice gift certificate for a manicure/pedicure or massage!

Congrats on graduation!!!
