Getting into nursing

Greetings,

i am am trying to get into nursing, and I am doing the prerequisite at the moment. I will have A&P and Microwbiology next semester. I am a little scare, but at the same time I think I can do it. I am currently working full time and it's not easy sometime but I am enjoying it.

I woukd like to know if it's difficult to get into nursing at Houston Community College and I don't know much about collage here. So, are there any other community collage that I can do 2 year Nursing Prigram?

Please let me know if you have any advise for A&P and Microbiology. Any advise on how to study?

Thank you so much.

Ying

Studying for AP is a broad subject, difficult perhaps. I have used youtube Crash Course channel and it helps a lot. Another community college where you can receive your RN-ADN is Lee College in Baytown, San Jacinto College 2(campuses), Lonestar College, and or Alvin community college as well. Look into each college individually as for each of these programs their pre-requisites may vary for example. HCC requires Microbiology Prior to Entrance into the Program, LEE College or San Jacinto DOES NOT. I hope this is helpful, I am actually getting ready to apply myself and i wish counselors would have told me this when i Started my journey to pursue nursing years ago. good luck!
