Getting into the ER for IP

Hello, I have my final Integrative Practicum coming up next term, where I am placed with a nurse and work full time with her. I really was hoping to get into the ER, however at my school it is a specialty placement that I have to fill out an application for. I was thinking of taking a course or two that I could include on my application to give me an edge on the competition. Any suggestions for courses that may help me out in this area??

Maybe ACLS but you wouldn't push the meds during the code. Maybe see if you can shadow an ER nurse or see if they will let you fly. I know as a paramedic on a fire department I had the opportunity to fly back when my friend's dad was one of the administrators of a flight program but I am scared of helicopters crashing so I didn't.
